Dentist
Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, Dr. Stephen Stanley has lived and practiced dentistry in the greater New Haven area for most of his professional career. He and his wife, Myra, currently reside in New Haven, along with their two teenage children.
Dr. Stanley attended school locally, including St. Rita Elementary School in Hamden, Notre Dame High School of West Haven, and Southern Connecticut State University. He received his doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Stanley’s more than 30 years of dental experience includes practicing as a general dentist in a private practice in Philadelphia and later for the Bahamian Public Health Department in Grand Bahama. He also served as a community dentist in New Haven’s (Cornell Scott) Hill Health Center, Job Corps of America, and for the New Haven Public School system in a school-based dental clinic.
Currently, Dr. Stanley also works part time for the State of Connecticut Department of Social Services treating the dental needs of special needs clients.
In his limited spare time, Dr. Stanley enjoys traveling, fishing, jazz music and the challenge of an intricate jigsaw puzzle.
